Do you want to go to the plage with me?

A warm breeze touches your skin, leaves dance in the sunlight and there are lampions and glitter in the trees. On a meadow between the trees, there’s someone singing just with an acoustic guitar on a small stage, around you there are girls in summer dresses and straw hats, it smells from fresh baked bread, you take a zip of your apple wine and pick some grass stalks with your fingers. This is Appletree Garden, a small Festival in Diepholz near Bremen, Germany. Christine, who does 40 festivals this year, convinced me to join her with some friends to the cozy event. With tent, fairy masks and canned soup we made ourselves comfortable on a nearby cow pasture and enjoyed two days of sun, music, „Handbrot“ and braved the rain with rubber boots and 80ies rain coats. We discovered new bands (Bretón, Balthazar, Reptile Youth and School is Cool) and loved well known ones (Apparat, Dillon and Crystal Fighters) and dived into the magical atmosphere underneath the apple tree.

Thanks, Appletree Garden Festival and see you next year!

Again, make sure to watch the HD version of the video on the vimeo website. Music in the video by School Is Cool.
