Another week is over and I’m late again with posting my recap. It’s getting warmer in Berlin, I had delicious cupcakes at Vanilla, attended a screening of Esperando el Tsunami (which I sadly couldn’t see to the end) and a very spontaneous concert of one of my favourites: Clueso. Also I’ve been finally working on an illustration again. Stay tuned and meanwhile enjoy my song of the week:

As promised here’s the second part of photos from last Sunday’s walk on the ice. The ice is long gone and today you could actually go out just with a thick sweater and leave your coat at home, yay! I’m so looking forward to spring already.

The Travelettes got featured by French Glamour Magazine! They wrote a sweet 2 pages article about us and our blog for the March issue. Photos were taken back in November by Jörg Brüggemann on Berlin’s maybe most foggy day of the year. Anyway, they turned out great, allthough I had to wear an unflattering backpack and was probably absent-minded when putting that turban on my head.

Better late than never…

I had a great last week: I went for some walks, had an awesome first week at the new job, protested against ACTA, sent my mum lovely shoes I wanted for myself and got featured in a magazine (more on that tomorrow).

After yesterdays protest walk, I was chilled to the bones and promised myself I’d never go out there again by choice. But as these kind of intentions usually don’t last long, I went out today, to take a walk on Berlin’s completely frozen Landwehrkanal. It’s actually been nice to stroll were normally only sight-seeing boats go. There were many families ice-skating, dudes playing hockey and dogs frolicking around. Go there while it lasts!

Something between 6,000 and 10,000 people came to the StopActa protests in Berlin today. Allthough it was freezing cold (-8°C in Berlin) several thousand people demonstrated all over Europe to oppose the human rights violating and anti-democratic “Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement” (ACTA). I was very happy to spot some of the posters my friend Simon made for everyone to use. Let’s all hope Germany and all the remaining countries won’t sign this dangerous contract.

It’s pretty cold in Berlin and I’ve rarely been outside this past week. I started a new part-time job today and have some freelance projects coming up. Nonetheless I’ll try to keep track of this blog as good as I can. Have  a nice week!

Sometimes, when I can’t sleep, I tend to grab my camera and take pictures of the lights coming through my window at night. This happened a lot during the last months, at home as well as in hotel rooms during my travels. The above pictures were taken in Berlin, Norway, Austria and Bavaria.

This has been a busy week with graphic design jobs, Bread&Butter tradeshow, client appointments, Travel Massive, parties and a wonderful Bodi Bill concert. My body is paying me back with a bad cold today.
